December and Gingerbread

Hi Teacher Friends!
It's been awhile since we last blogged.  We are sorry for the lack of posts.

Here is a little activity we completed this week in kindergarten.  As a special reward for my class, I made gingerbread playdough.  The kids loved it and it kept them busy and happy on a "too cold outside for recess" Friday afternoon.  Earlier in the year, we baked a real gingerbread man as we learned about the different locations around school.  This past week, our centers and stations revolved around a gingerbread theme and this was the kids' Friday special reward.  Most of the kids rolled, patted, and played with the playdough making different things.  A group of kiddos just wanted to make a gingerbread man.

I searched for gingerbread playdough recipes on the Interenet.  There are A LOT of different recipes out there.  Find one that works for you.

Hope your December is a great one.
Merry Christmas!
