Hi Teacher Friends! We are linking up with Doodle Bugs for the Five for Friday Linky.
Because of the snow days we experienced, our 100th day of school fell on Valentine's Day. My principal asked "Has the 100th day ever been this late?" For us, it is usually around late January or early February but the sleet and ice changed everything. Oh yeah, there was also that full moon that same time too.
I found the idea for this door display on Mrs. Fischer's Kinder Themes website.

I have used this several times over the years. The kids absolutely love walking through the zero. Some of my past students see this and just have to walk through to tell me "hi" on the 100th day.
The kids work together in pairs to create this 100 link paper chain. This is always a fun 100th day activity.
These 100 year old portraits are from Deanna Jump's unit. These always turn out so CUTE!
We created Valentine scrapbooks. I found the idea for this from Mrs. Greening's site Overall Success. Be sure to check out her neat site here www.overallsuccess.net
I was able to attend one of her presentations at Frog Street a few years ago.
I asked the parents to send in their child's valentines early so we could complete the scrapbook before the class party.
We have been learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. My class LOVES this book about George Washington.
George Washington and the General's Dog by Frank Murphy
This writing sample is from one of my little kinders.
"I love the American flag. The American flag is beautiful. America is very beautiful."
It makes me so proud of her and the USA!
Have a great weekend!
