Mrs. Wishy-Washy

Hi Teacher Friends!  Have I told you how much the kinderkids LOVE Mrs. Wishy-Washy?  This has to be one of our all time favorite book characters.   Mrs. Wishy-Washy ranks right up there with Clifford, Biscuit, Corduroy and Miss Bindergarten!

We are allowed to substitute Saxon Phonics for the Word Study of our state C Scope Curriculum.  We have been learning about letter Ww.  We read Mrs. Wishy-Washy, Wishy-Washy Day and Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Farm by Joy Cowley.   The kinderkids had a blast.  We used some of the small book buddies to retell the story.  They didn't even say anything about the small red Christmas bowl with snowflakes on it here in the middle of April.  It made the perfect tub.  We used a small fingernail brush to scrub those animals clean!  :)

We used the "Woman" project in the TLC People book to make our own version of
Mrs. Wishy-Washy.

Dear Mrs. Wishy-Washy.

Have a great week at school! :)
